Christine McCullum-Gomez, PhD, RDN

Christine McCullum-Gomez, PhD, RDN is an independent researcher and nutrition consultant based in Bogotá, Colombia. She has a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. Her expertise is in environmental nutrition, sustainable diets, sustainable food systems, and food and nutrition policy. She is a Column Editor and serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Hunger & Environmental Nutrition.

Dr. McCullum-Gomez is Chair of the Global Member Interest Group (GMIG) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Country Representative for the International Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAAND), Colombia. She writes a “What’s New in Sustainability” column for the Vegetarian Nutrition (VN) Dietetic Practice (DPG) newsletter, Plant-Powered Perspectives: The Green Fork Report.
